El libro de Arroz con cosas es una historia muy original y divertida, pero con tradición y cultura, y con un tema muy apropiado para la época: fotos, seguidores e influencers de Instagram! Remei nos presenta la figura de una abuela tradicional – pero joven-, con muchas ganas (¡y sin miedo!) de mostrarle al mundo lo que realmente es La Paella – es decir, la paella verdadera, ¡eh! Un libro con mucho jugo para abordar una variedad de temas (culturales y modernos) y con una narración sencilla pero muy rica en vocabulario. La guía para profes me sirvió muchísimo. Además, tiene ejercicios y juegos para reforzar el vocabulario y expandir el aprendizaje; ideal para acompañar el trabajo en clase y para tarea en casa.

This year, I used “Arroz con Cosas” and the Teaching Guide eBook in my Year 10 Spanish class at Horowhenua College, and my students absolutely loved it! The story is fun, the characters are relatable, and the activities in the guide made lesson planning super easy.

Everything was really well-organized, from the reading tasks to the creative follow-up activities, and the audiovisual materials were a big hit in class. It was great to see my students laughing, learning new vocabulary, and actually enjoying reading in Spanish.

Overall, Arroz con Cosas is such a great resource for making Spanish learning fun and meaningful. Huge thanks to the authors Patricia and Margarita for putting together something so well done and teacher-friendly!
